Moose commits to target net-zero by 2040
When it comes to the planet, we’re not playing around. We’re taking big steps towards reducing our environmental footprint, with a commitment to target net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. When it comes to sustainable practices – everyone wins! That’s why we’re decarbonising our business and exploring more circular design principles and business models. The targets will be verified by Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) – a partnership of key organisations that drives climate action in the private sector – and Moose will join over 1000 future-thinking companies worldwide who have formally joined the initiative to set science- based climate targets.
“At Moose, we’re setting an ambitious agenda to become the most responsible and sustainable toy company we can be,” says Moose Toys CEO Paul Solomon. “We acknowledge how critical this commitment is in protecting our planet and ensuring we can continue to make kids around the world Superhappy now and into the future.”
To score our goals (both long and short term) we need to reduce emissions from our own operations and facilities, as well as those generated in the extended supply chain. We are investing in 100% renewable energy and working with suppliers who share our environmental ambitions. We are reducing our reliance on air freight and reimagining our packaging and products to support us on this immense and incredible journey.
With collaboration, innovation and our can-do attitude we are up for the challenge to passionately protect the planet from climate change.
